FALL RAKU AND POTLUCK

$50.00

Sunday, November 9th 10am-3pm (The kiln will be fired about 4 times, you may not need to stay the whole time). Bring up to 3 pieces of bisque ware totalling about 1 cubic ft. You’ll be introduced to and be able to take your time choosing from provided raku glazes and alternative firing processes like horse hair and tin foil saggar (which look great with smooth, terra sig polished pots) Potluck lunch is especially good for these firings where we spend time waiting and socializing. Vicki will provide warm drinks.

This is dirty, smokey work! You’ll need to wear closed toe shoes and cotton/flannel/wool clothing (no synthetics or you’ll have to wear the smelly jacket!) It may be cold and raining! We will do this rain or shine, but you can spend most of the time indoors. (Raku kind of likes bad weather).
